Why China Sourcing Fails (And It’s Not About Factories)

Most China sourcing problems are blamed on manufacturers. In reality, factories are rarely the issue.

What usually breaks projects:

  • unclear supplier terms

  • verbal agreements instead of documentation

  • hidden logistics costs

  • unrealistic timelines

  • no single point of responsibility

Manufacturing in China is predictable.Chaos comes from poor structure and посредники who avoid accountability.

My rule is simple:one system, one timeline, one responsible party.

When sourcing, production, and logistics are treated as one process - costs become predictable, timelines stabilize, and risks are visible early.

Transparency is not a “nice to have.”It’s the only way China sourcing actually works.

If you’re launching or scaling and want control instead of surprises,I’m open to conversations and partnerships.
